March 24-May 12, 2026: UNCA OLLI Course – “The American Revolution: Overlooked Histories” presented
by Blue Ridge Chapter, SAR and DAR Compatriots: Each Tuesday, 2:00 to 4:00 pm, starting March 24, 2026 for
8 weeks.
You must be a member of UNCA OLLI to attend the course.

April 13, 2026: Flag certificate to town of Fletcher at Fletcher town hall, 6:00 pm.
April 15, 2026: Blue Ridge Community College History Fair, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm,
TEDC Conference Hall, 49 East Campus Drive, Flat Rock, NC 28731
April 18, 2026: Honor Flight, ~9:00 to ~9:30 pm flight landing, Asheville Airport hangar. Our Color Guard will
welcome Veteran Compatriot Dave Gunther at the airport hangar. Park at gate 7 of the WNC Agricultural Center,
where you can pick up a shuttle to the hangar. You can arrive at the hangar any time after 8:00 pm. Color Guard
will muster at the hangar by 8:15 pm. Shuttle times are not listed, but the shuttle will likely be running by 7:00
pm. A Thank You goes out to Compatriot George Alley for coordinating this from our chapter’s side.
July 4, 2026: Hendersonville 4 th of July Parade 10:30 am – Color Guard marching
July 4, 2026: Asheville Tourists 4 th of July home baseball game, 6:05 pm first pitch (Color Guard muster time
4:30 pm) – Color Guard presenting the colors
July 9-16, 2026: 2026 National Congress – NSSAR, Greensboro, NC
September 12, 2026: Battle of Dark (Black) 250 th anniversary commemoration from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on
Wyah Creek in Macon County, NC. The event will be led by the Western Waters Chapter, NCSSAR. Our Color
Guard is needed for the commemoration.
September 17 2026: Constitution Day – DAR hosting, 3:30 pm (Color Guard muster: 3:00 pm), Hendersonville
Historic Courthouse
September 18, 2026: Asheville Naturalization Ceremony:

Color Guard Muster Time to Prepare: 10:15 am (for an event start time of 11:00 am)
Location: U.S. Courthouse, 100 Otis Street, Asheville, NC 28801, 3rd Floor, Room 3
Parking: Wall Street Garage
Other Details: The event is open to the public. When you arrive, proceed through security on your own,
go to the 3rd floor, and wait outside the courtroom (room 3 on the 3rd floor).
